Ok, fair enough. But it's still much easier for you to hide anonymously behind a screenname. You have more to lose when you are named.

This proves you have no idea what the "bonus" check was supposed to be. it was SOLELY supposed to be for the loss of the 2% wage increase over the 5 years we had no contract. Had nothing to do with senior guys shafting jr guys. Obviously, 2% raise of $80 an hour will be greater than 2% raise of $25 an hour. I thought that was the most fair, even though the new method got me 4K more. Why do you think that someone who came waltzing in in the middle of negotiations deserves as much as someone who has lost out since he beginning?
Loss of what 2% wage increase over 5 years? And how is W2 wage method for fair? It specifically helps those who are senior, and those who go out of their way to pick stuff up, guys bought off for leave and then pick up on another day off, and guys who consistently credit the most hours. Do you need to be reminded how the yes versus no vote went on this issue? All FO reps voted no, all CA reps voted yes. Except the one FO rep who was Captain already, guess how that vote went. And for the record, I was for the time-since-amendalbe-date method. One of the proposals was 50% W2 method and 50% time since amendable date. Even that would have been better. But all that was voted down.

the annual 2% raises we DIDN'T get while the contract was in limbo. Not our longevity raises, our yearly COLA raises. The ones we see on Dec 1 of the new contract. That is what made it fair. I too faired better with the new way, but I still found nothing unfair about the original way for what its original purpose was. i believe the final formula was 50/50 w2/longevity.

There were plenty of guys who thought the 100% W2 method wasn't fair. The union, for some stupid reason, decided to put out the distribution money method before the TA vote. That way, the only way to show discontent for the bonus method was to vote TA1 down. Plenty of FOs did just that. What should have happened is that the union should have secured the 10 mil, got TA1, put that out for a pilot vote, and then once passed, had meetings to decide on bonus distribution. I was very vocal about this when I was there, so I don't want to hash it out again. It's too late, and I'll let bygones be bygones.

As a soon to be on the street FO for Comair, becoming a government employee and not having to apply for jobs might not be a bad thing after the 6 years I have spent at Comair!

Arch and Jughead just dropped the work requirement from unemployment so I can finally get to the backlog of yardwork I haven't been able to do , actually take my boat out, and not have to be on reserve! Sounds like a win win to me!

Not sure if I want to continue this career! I made more money running a bulldozer then flying a CRJ. Really I miss running the bulldozer more! Trying to decide if sticking around for this once proud career is worth it! The last 4 years of my 6 have been filled with nothing but bad news!

What's holding me back is starting over at another regional! Why would I want to go through that again?

I'd be happy to give training on dozers, backhoes, and front-end loaders for a fair price...

You do recall the aftermath right? And the end bonus method?

It helped you. By a big margin, and passed unanimous. Minor detail.

Yessir, but that aftermath was after many heads rolled (recalled/ replaced).

The end bonus method was still a slap in the face to many of us. It was a way to appear more fair, without actually being that much more fair. Using the date that the original TA was proposed cut out about 50% of my time at the company. The longevity half of the bonus should have been adjusted to the new contract's passing date, period.

I was pretty vocal about this while the vote was going on and I got pulled aside by many union guys to tell me to be quiet. That was after I had adjusted the numbers myself in about 15 minutes and posted that to the old airlinkpilots board.

Actually it could be much more simple. At least at Eagle, we are all getting PIC types starting this month for prepartion for the new law. Each leg we fly, we log it as PIC time. It would require a change in the law but, make it much like 91.
