ASA/XJT "Special Meeting"
#62
Comair shutting down did one thing for all of us. It separated the scared desperate lifers who want to grovel for their lives from the smart ones running for the lifeboats.

I just flew with a guy that'd been at ASA for over twenty years and he's looking to bail. With Delta's new TA, it would only take two years for him to get back to his current pay.

2. You are one of the "more militant" folks on this side of the fence so it's no wonder you can't see the problem.
3. The industry standard is moving backwards while y'all cry and moan about how bad we have it....Wake up and look around....

If any barriers existed between the groups I believe they were torn down this week. Maybe not entirely but it was a good first step in opening the lines of communication between the groups and being unified on not allowing management to play us against each other.
I don't know what the final bill was, but this burned out guy found the meeting to be potentially invaluable down the road. My two pennies.

In this case they are...I think everyone can admit that the XJT side of the house is the more militant side and wants more out of the JCBA...Problem is, that isn't how things work in the real world......Industry standard is moving backwards while these cry babies stomp their feet in the corner...Oh well, they will soon learn....
I presume the "professionals" like yourself must want less and are willing to do this job for rotten peanuts. Professionals bend over and take whatever comes their way. THAT MAKES SENSE.
If you want to stay here and flounder in the Delta world of whipsaw, go ahead. You must have a massive skeleton in your closet.
