Voted Yes.
I voted no, but was a bit relieved to see it ratified. At least it's overwith. Voting 'yes' seemed to be the safer route, but I could not, in good faith, vote 'yes' on anything concessionary, like PBS.

No tough talk here, I was split between no/yes and just went with my gut.

PBS is coming regardless of a yes or no vote.

So then we get company implemented PBS, as opposed to a system where ALPA is involved in the system?

Ask guys from different airlines that do it the different ways..then see which you'd rather have.

Hey guys....has your MEC mentioned which PBS software they are going to use? I'm curious, because that's a topic that's holding up any shot of a TA at XJT.

I haven't heard or seen any specifics..I'm sure now that the TA passed though they'll start figuring that out..maybe some of the union guys or ones more in the loop know of the possibilities?

1. It pbs was coming anyhow.--do know it is not allowed by my previous contract but now is allowed by the ta passing.
2. what software, the cheapest that the company buy.
3. union guys in the loop, which loop, the sell out group or the ignorant group.

I've had pbs for about four and half of my six years at 9E and can say that its not too bad, especially if your senior. Junior pilots really have no say on their schedule with pbs. Paper bids were much better for junior pilots cause you had some sort of control. As a senior pilot pbs has worked out great for me, but like I said before junior guys get stuck with whatever is left over. Im just curious, not starting anything, but what is it about pbs that has you guys worried?

Right now a lot of people can make extra $$$ but bidding conflicts. So if I have vacation or training I can bid a line I know will take me into a conflict.

Also, we know that our language has been ambiguous at best and we are worried the company will drive a freight train through the wholes whole our elected representatives are having liquid snacks.
