Pretty close. 92 hours, 16 days off. Not bad!

Thanks Teb. Throw a little LGA overblock in there and you've got 100+ hours

Ok. No BS- what's life like at Colgan?

I can't get a good read on them. Some hate the place but love the flying, other love the place, love the flying, but know its a stepping stone. Maybe attitude and knowing you need to move on are the key to Colgan...

It really depends where you are based to be honest . Some people hate it while other people love it like me. There seems to be no in between. I say if you come aboard and you hate some place just bid out simple as that. From my eyes it is a great company with ample opportunity to advance your career in a short amount of time.

Well you all know my opinion . like everything in life there are some negatives, and some positives. The worst you can do is never try and you will never know. I went there didnt like it and left. I gained great experience and met great people, I am happy with leaving but glad that I went. Don't know if that helps at but if you have any questions PM em I wil happy to help.

P.S. Everybody has thier own unique experiences so don't make any decisions based on what people say you have to figure it out for yourself.

I take it that those who are happy at Colgan are not based in PQI. Just kidding!

Nothing, they did send me a letter about it, but thats it so far. My sis is an Employment lawyer, and she says that as long as at least once person was not sued then they really can not do anything about it. I guess only time will tell Ill keep ya guys updated in case anybody thinks about leaving early. They did keep my last paycheck which was alot with overgaurentee, so they did get some of it but well see if they pursue the rest, Nov 14th of last year was my Hire date my last day of flying was end of Sep, so well see it wasnt too much longer.

PS I heard PQI was am awesome base, good flying

I like what you had to say here. I have learned a lot from this thread as it may be the longest running Colgan thread in APC history. I think if I do try Colgan it could be a plus because I live in an area where there are many bases, so I could be close to home. However, like you said, there is only one way to find out if I like it and that's if Colgan should hire me one day. Glad that show many responded because there are many different experiences, but I think the one important thing I have learned is that mine could be different from all of yours. It just depends on how things go.
