Hate to state the obvious, but many would consider XJT one of the better regionals, and they're hiring at 600 hrs.

I haven't heard of anyone getting in with 600hrs. Just people applying.

i've heard a lot of good things about expressjet on these forums.. I dont know much about them but on the APC page it says,

Hiring. Hiring 32/mo due to attrition. Up to 400 new-hires in 2007.

can someone who works there explain the attrition?

You'd probably know better than I would. All I'm saying is that they advertise 600/100 just like the Colgans.

Lots of guys (CAs and FOs) leaving for CAL, SWA, FedEx, UPS. Last I heard CAL was hiring roughly 20/mo just from XJT.

attrition means when a FO moves to CA or someone leaves the company to go somewhere else

haha...A$$ i spelled it right both times. i am so proud of myself. that was long and thought out. maybe you should go work for GO JETS...those guys think they have their career thought out...a quick upgrade...psssshhhh...

i am glad you don't respond...because that means i get the last word...you are a putz..

never said i was an expert. i am just merely stating facts. i actually got off the phone with ms. finnigan this afternoon about my pay owed me. she tells me that i calculate different than them. it is ashame that a calculator only works one way...the colgans can't change math formulas and simple addition...maybe you could go hope them...you seem intelligent.

when you wake up and open your eyes to the job and company you work for and realize that PIC turboprop isn't going to get you anywhere...except maybe COL...give a shout...i will hand walk your resume in...i pinky swear

you keep flying over 16 hours to get that extra day off...don't tell me i'll call the feds...of if you would like to look in the FAR's where it states two men crew can not fly over 16 hours...i will give you the page number...

i don't know everything their kid...but i do know most of Colgan's tricks...i see through them...Lisa is about all they have there is scheduling and dave rose is a quilty as OJ in scheduling.

Cool, so the attrition is due to pilots moving on to better places. I was curious because 32 a month seems like a lot. Seems like everyone at XJT is pretty happy, whats the upgrade time like over there?

(sorry this thread is way off its original topic)

Default 600hrs

about the 600hrs, There was 16 of us in class one washed out prior to FTD's and I just heard another washed out on SIM 6, had his checkride tomorow. So out of 16 to start I would say 14 had less than a 1000, and at least 10 had 600-800 and 5 for sure had right around 600.
