I'd be willing to bet that when you remove labor costs, flying 2 E75s costs just about the same as flying one S80 over the same stage length. About the same number of seats, both premium and economy. Frequency is a bonus.
What regional is flying Airbus aircraft? I don't see it anywhere in the USA. So how is it likely they won't be operated at mainline? Where's the leverage? Also, 2 E75s cost a pretty penny. If an S80 is paid for, in most cases it'll be cheaper to operate it over 2 E75s. Now there are other factors such as available parts, mx, etc. But running older aircraft that are paid for can be more profitable then shiny new planes that are more fuel efficient. Heck, Delta is still making $$$ with 30+ year old DC9-50's.

Plus, frequency is not so much the gold nugget it used to be. Fuel is much more expensive. CASM is much lower with a larger airplane because of that. With extreme capacity discipline being implemented, we are seeing less frequency and larger aircraft in many markets.

Oh ya they get heavy penalties and will join PNCL in CH11!

I dont know why anyone would go here with a 6 year upgrade and $23/hr first year and mid-high 20s every year after for years, with no CX pay protection!

Go to Skywest you idiots.
Wingtips forgets to remember that YOU HAVE TO GO TO AN INTERVIEW AND HAVE TO BE HIRED! If it were the case we would all PASS GO and go directly to a major airline!
Calling people idiots doing their due diligence in pursuing a career in flying is not idiotic at all.

Don't worry, wingtips isn't the sharpest crayon in the sandbox.

Could you elaborate on this please? Last time I checked RJET turned a profit the last couple quarters with a decent margin (for the industry).

Pardon my ignorance, but isn't there something about your beloved Eagle and Ch 11 and concessionary TAs?

No. It's been 2 years for all aircraft, but we've been hearing that they have been dropping that requirement as of late. Obviously, it's a good question to ask at an interview.

Training contracts are dropped on the -145 and Q. Still in place for the -170.

You may be on to something, but it will probably resemble the Mesaba BK. Holding companies can do some pretty interesting things in BK.

I used to think they were going to cleve off the CHQ certificate, but since the 190 flying has dried up I wouldn't be surprised if it was the Republic certificate.

Amazingly, Shuttle may be the last man standing after RAH completes their restructuring. The only reason for the duplicate certificates are the legacy scope restrictions and those restrictions are rapidly disappearing.

Republic certificate? Doubtful. The Q400 was an incredible headache to setup. I doubt they are going to migrate those planes to Shuttle's cert.

And the 190 operation is a small fraction of the fleet. If you ignore the 190s, ignore the Q400, the Republic certificate is still the biggest by a good margin. In any event, I may be biased, but no way Shuttle is the last brand to survive at Republic Holdings.

Oh, and the CHQ restructuring is largely complete. There is no separation taking place, nor was that part of the plan.
