so someone hears this straight from 3 Fedex pilots and this is the classy response you come up with? Glad your attitude isn't present in the other 98% of Fedex pilots I have met/given a ride to work. Lemme guess....777?
How do you know it was for "building into the bid pack?" What if someone calls in sick and the only way to get a replacement in a timely manner is by Lear since you can't take a Delta flight? to or from MEM?

Glad you are impressed by my class and attitude.
I responded to a statement by someone that doesn't even work here and he continues to spout of about what is happening at a company he doesn't even work for. He also seems to be knowledgeable of the other top companies that are located in Memphis. Maybe he knows when I sohoud by and sell gold too or when the 767 bid will be out. Then again maybe not, I will ask the bus drivers they talk to many more FedEx pilots so they must really know what is going on.I never disputed the Lears are used to move crews. They have been doing that for years. It is not due to Delta cuts to Memphis.

Congressman calls for federal investigation on Delta Airlines in Memphis
(WMC-TV) - Memphis Congressman Steve Cohen is calling for a federal investigation into unfair practices by Delta Airlines in Memphis - as an edgy ad campaign hits the Internet. The ad campaign takes flight as everyday people and business travelers alike take stock of the hurting Delta's putting on their wallet. "Companies used to care about the cities they served. Delta doesn't care about Memphis," said Congressman Steve Cohen. Cohen said the RunwayRobbery ads shows Memphis' frustration with rising prices and fewer flights, after Delta took over Northwest Airlines. He said the Airport Authority needs to get its priorities straight. "Delta is not a Memphian. Delta's a customer," said Cohen.

Now everyone be sure to ask me rhetorical questions about topics I didn't even mention such as "why do I think Delta should hurt their bottom line to help them?" etc....

Hold on, what right or what grounds does a congressman get to dictate how a publicly held company can or should run their business? Is he on their board of directors?
Hey, I think Delta should have a hub in PIT, but guess what, it doesn't and won't. After the merger, it's only logical that some current bases at both Delta and Northwest would shrink. You can't keep all open. It's more efficient to consolidate and close up in certain bases, especially ones so close to each other. CVG is almost gone, DTW increased in size. MEM almost gone, ATL increased.
Tell that congressman to lower the landing fees, gate fees, etc. to attract other LCC airlines into MEM.

It was directed at those crying about losing business and having to pay more, and you were directly stating it in your post (in addition to the article). The void that DL is leaving in MEM is not being backfilled by anyone. The demand just isn't there.

The reason I asked you was because, 98% of the time someone on this board asks a rhetorical question towards a post that has a news article in it, they think that the poster shares the feelings of the news article or is defending it for some reason.....I've gotten PM's before asking me why I feel that way for simply posting an article, which is odd. If I post an article about Bama someone will email me accusing me of hating Stanford or some crap like that. I think I need another beer

exactly...I stated it, I did not say I agree with them. I just thought it was odd that USMCFDX called the other guy an idiot and didn't believe him for saying the same thing this article says, which is why I posted it.
