We are all done for; the Man is going to take the new Pinnacle TA and f@ck us all hard core! I am making a blanket statement and saying that that our group has about a 5% chance of coming together after this new shenanigans!

There are more problems that exist when this happens.

On a side note, I believe there was a memo about reserve picking up trips but I'm not sure what it said as it did not apply to me. It could have a been a one month deal.
On the L-XJT side, reserves can only pick up on their days off if the trip is "red flagged", meaning reserve coverage is low and the company offering a 150% or 200% premium for pickups.

Reserves picking up trips on their day off isn't unheard of, and it isn't that hard. If you have 4 on, 2 off, then 4 on, picking up an out/back on 1 day off isn't going to cause any type 30/7 or 1/7 conflict.

Most other airlines allow reserves to pick up Extra Fly on hard days off. Some for straight time, some for time and a half. I've done it many times

So you at L-ASA pick up trips that are in open time on your days off while on reserve? Honest question.

I have been with a reserve guy that wanted my trip on his day off. He hadn't flown in a while and had no legality issues. I told him to call and ask. They told him that there is now way possible and they do not allow that since it's contractual thing that violates the bucket.

sorry man, been trying to grab it but I can't get rid of a trip I have that conflicts with it. Company hasn't approved a singe trade with open time in months. Apparently we need thousands of guys on reserve at all times. (and by thousands, I mean 10 which is completely unrealistic)

No, ExpressJet CRJ side cannot pick up open time on reserve. There was a very short MOU that allowed it a while back, but that was for a short time only.

Sorry, I didn't clarify. Airline reserves picking up open time is not unheard of. Just can't do it at XJet CRJ side
