That ad is verging on libelous. Not quite enough to sue over it, but close.

People are clueless. We fly using ACARS generated Econ speeds; per the company; and these speeds are slow as molasses. Quit speculating on your own about what we should do. We're flying by the book. (Unless I have a flight to catch).
I cannot tell you how many times I have been stuck behind a Chautauqua, Brickyard, or Mercury heading into LGA or DCA who claimed .62-.68 when asked for their speed. My minimum is .72-.74 depending on weight and model. You should hear the stink they put up when ATC asked them to do at least .75. This is pilot generated. |

Butt out regional lifer. Worry about your own speeds and we'll worry about ours. Actually, please keep posting. It's fun to laugh at.

I don't know if there's a good way to fix the pilot pay conundrum. There are currently enough regional pilots to fill the massive vacancies that could come up at the majors...the pilots who'll leave will be the regional captains looking to move on and up. The FO's who are behind them will be happy to see them leave so they can upgrade and finally make a livable wage...the FO's will be relishing in how wealthy they've suddenly become, and at which point life will be peachy. If the major hiring continues for long enough, the FO's former FO's will have the ability to move on as well, once they have the prerequisite flight requirements...once that happens the upgrade times at the respective regional airlines become so short that it seems like a good deal for new hires to start running to their ranks again...and the crap pay seems livable...at least for the short period of time you're an FO.
The only way this really works is a mass exodus of pilots from the regionals via resignations, and that just isn't going to happen...unless upgrades at all the regionals stretches to 10 years plus...then you might see some adjustment, and people who are unwilling to suffer in the "suck". |

...or the IBT national over-ruling the local on the LBFO when that didn't happen? ...or the HIMS program that you guys claimed that RJET didn't have that had been up and running for nearly a year? Keep coming with this stuff, fellas...it's entertaining. |

Please tell how the public, to which this is addressed, is being so misled?
Something similar happened at Mesa once, where someone said to the media that there were Mesa pilots on food stamps. The CEO wanted a lawsuit, or to have someone fired, but as it turned out, THAT statement was 100% concise, and 100% accurate.
