My contract does not allow negotiations prior to the four year period. If alpa has balls they would tell management **** off. But our MEC has never seen a prick it could not lick.

So lemme get this right...amr wants to give Tim Horton or whatever his name is $20,000,000.00 to leave while asking for guys making 30 grand a year to give up money? There shouldn't be any union in the world that would allow that to happen let alone a union associated with amr after that sob don carty lined his slimey little pockets with as much cash as he could. Parker has to be drinking again to want to pull something like this off.

Seriously????? Let's see -- lets average all the lowest paying regional wages, and throw in one high one -- lets come up the lowest common denominator possible, then establish the pay rate. Oh yea - we will guarantee you an interview but not a job at the SUPER AA.

I am all for everyone needing what they need to do protect their own, but this is one that should be flushed away. I cannot believe they are coming back for more, but pay out millions in executive bonuses and believe we should eat their scraps to support their mismanagement.

Prediction -- under Parker's management AA will be back in BK court within 5 years! Building a company where everyone feels underpaid, and under-appreciated has proven to be a recipe for disaster. I hope Jet Blue, Spirit, and Southwest kick our ass on every domestic route and all we have left is international.

Rant over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like RJ Pilot said, word coming out is that the MEC rejected the proposal altogether. However, there has yet to be any correspondence to the pilot group that we even received a proposal in the first place. A proposal which was received last week.

Tell us more about your "sources". You know...the ones you swore you have and are not Eagle Lounge. Whatever happened to Eagle not hiring anymore?

Must be something in the water out in Keller.

Nearly EVERY airline pilot group has taken concessions. STOP HATING. It isn't helping. Maybe we should find a way to unite pilot groups instead of continuing to bash one another. I'm so fed up with this bs.

Guess what? There's going to be new regional in the next five years. They are going to be worse than (insert worst regional here). And guess what? People are going to leave to go there for the quick upgrade.

We, pilots, will NEVER learn. Management always wins.

Uhhh.... my pilot group has NEVER taken concessions! It's easy to hate on 9E. They are the dregs of the regionals, combining two of the worst regionals in history... Colgan and Express One. It's a shame that Mesaba is guilty by association with these two "exemplary" regional pilot groups.

How can you have much international when your domestic network has been lost to other carriers, also Parker is not making feel the AA folks underpaid. His big think is that he will bring them on par with United and Delta in 3 years. Now as far as the regionals, he is doing what Delta is doing and that is kick the sh!t out of the regionals. How Parker runs the airline after BK is another story but the reason he was able to basically acquire AA is because he demonstrated that he wants to run an airline and he can work with labor. Most of the workgroups at US Airways didn't want to merge so he let them work under crappy contracts since they didn't want to merge. But like all airline managers I am sure he loves split employee groups.
