Colgan Training Contract Q

Long story short, I have about 8 months left at Colgan and generally speaking, I can't wait to get out. Great guys to fly with, but the company just sucks and I no longer have the desire to be a SAAB captain (or FO for that matter).

And now you are planning on making a lateral move to RAH in about 8 months, right after they have taken the bulk of their deliveries? 2 year upgrades don't last forever. Are you hoping to fly for REP and be based in PIT? If given an interview and hired, they might give you CRJ IAH. What would you do then?
Have any regrets about that AWAC interview now?

AWAC interview regrets... you bet. More so, I regret passing on a class date with XJT; you should have no problem recognizing me in a terminal.. i'll be the guy walking around kicking himself is the arse with both feet.. live and learn i suppose, i'm still young (low 20's) so no worries.
2nd year AWAC FO's are making what CJC captains make
I would be hoping for a PIT base. I'd still accept the CRJ probably

Nothing ever came of my other contract "mess". I called their bluff and left.. they never took me to court (yet, knock on wood). That was about 5 months ago.

Who know what the future holds. Right now, CJC is saying about 2 year upgrade from my newhire class.. if after 1 year, that falls to like 15 months; I'll obviously stay. Also, the other airlines will change in that span of time.. who know, maybe comair will be desirable again haha. It's a journey and my life doesn't revolve around aviation so I'll just have to wait and see what the future brings

The the guys I"ve flown with are great and the SAAB is a blast to fly. Flying outside the profiles can be quite entertaining

Kilo I feel your pain brother, when I first went to Colgan I loved it it was great blah blah blah, but then just liek you you get really tired of the bull**** they pull, and the MEL's and the Non standardazation, and the work rules, and most of all the same 3 airports. I just finished IOE, I have bveen to more places than I ever was at Colgan. I started the day in Toronto, ended it in Palm Springs California, with great hotels, and awesome airplanes........just something to think about....................Good luck
