Default Colgan Training Contract Q

I was reading over my contract and I was wondering what is "date of assignment". Is that completion of ground school, sim, or IOE?

Thanks.

At SKW it means the first date you are availbale at your domicile to start flying rerserve or a line. So, after IOE and after your checkride if applicable.

Just wondering. I've been on line 2 months now, so I'm curious if that means I have 2 or 4 months of my contractual agreement met.

If you've been on line 2 months then you should be 2 months into you contract. We don't have any contracts at SKW but we do have seat locks and that is how we determine how far into your seat lock you are.

The Colgan contract specifies date of hire, which is the first day of ground school.

colgan contract is date of hire. Ask saabaroowski, he owes them some cash for bailing on the contract. ask him how much time he had left, and what they say he owes, and figure it from there.

No stab at you saab, i understand why he left, and if my circumstance was different, i would have done the same.

Just a guess (it's been a while since I looked at that thing), but I thought there was a date next to your signature? D.O.H. I think.
