Sounds like a YES voter. Maybe instead of criticizing you can come up with ideas to better our industry.

You're right. Resigning to your fate will definitely make things better. They say if you don't take any interest in your own future, things will just work themselves out in your favor.

We, the pilots, are the ones that allow the whipsaw to Perpetuate. This started at mainline by allowing regionals in the first place. If we, the regional pilots, stand as one and say NO to ANY MORE pay cuts in exchange for shiny new jets, than management will have no options. We are only as strong as our weakest link. It only takes one group to cave. Pinnacle caved under a corrupt delta induced bankruptcy scheme. Non of the airlines currently facing consession talks are in bankruptcy negotiations.

We can't go down from where we are at. Mainline airlines are making money hand over fist these days. Where is our money? Oh Mr CEO you want more of MY money???? FUPM.
PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THE FLOW CARROT!!!! That is the only thing they have to offer these days. PIC and E170's don't mean anything anymore or in the near future. So don't sell your soul. Or else you sell us ALL up the river. FUPM.

This is managements last ditch effort ahead of Mainlines retirements/ regional pilot shortage to cost cut. They know that it is coming and it's a smart way to drive down wages before they are forced to pay the piper (supply and demand). It's only a matter of time. Delta leads the way once again. Kill off comair then force pinnacle into these pre-9/11 wages. When/if we can band together and not cave there will be some casualties along the way but the buck stops here.

Thousands of Bros in flight school right now that are dreaming of E170's and crisp uniforms that they will spend a year paying off.

The only thing that will stop the whipsaw is stopping new pilots with SJS from taking jobs at crappy startup jet carriers. Good luck with that. I actually think the new ATP requirements will make that worse, because now as soon as they get 1500 hours, they'll be willing to work anywhere.
