I would propose that the boom times set the industry up for the collapse after 9/11 due to bad business practices and pre-Sarb-Ox accounting (which help the boom times). Nothing like taking the money that is supposed to go the pension fund and giving it to the Exec's as a bonus.

Airlines, being cyclical, are traditionally tied to the economy, not necessarily a political party...

Not going to make this a political debate but I REALLY think it can't be worse than what we have now. How does it get worse?

Yeah, thats a good question. The thing that still boggles my mind is how this country twice elected a man to be our leader that is widely recognized as a bubbling idiot. Apparently most people don't think we need someone smart to run the country. Didn't little W have 51% of the vote the first time? Wild...

Made it to the White House twice, what does that say about you? Must be a grade lower than "bubbling idiot". Oh how the jealous look up

Riiiggghhhtt. Personally, my views differ drastically with W's, and your apparently. Sorry, but he is nationaly (and globally, most likely) recognized as a subpar in the intellect category. Even people like you who voted for him understand that. He is good for laughs though. The things he says when he gets off the speech prepared for him are hilarious. I know conservatives cringe when he does that. That's why the debates were so fun to watch. Are politics allowed on this forum?

Don't forget the good people at Great Mistakes only make $15 an hour today in there first year. I can remember the day not to long ago they only made $11 an hour/ but that was back in the GOOD old Clinton days of economic boom!

Which is suprsingly MORE than Clinton carried the first time he was elected. I believe he had less than 50% the second time around as well.

Amazing what people will vote for when there is an option C.

Wild....

I absolutely LOVE that. TWICE they couldn't beat a bumbling, stumbling, cocaine-addicted, drunk, moron governor of a "hick" state.

Gotta love it.

So the question remains... why couldn't the brilliant Al Gore and the worldly John Kerry beat a big idiot? Oh, that's right... it was Diebold and tricks by Karl Rove, right??? ROFLMAO!!!
