what does integrity have to do with anything ?
I have bags of it, hasn't been worth one cent.
I should have been a lying, cheating bastage.

That sounds right. Integrity is not a prerequisite for being a pilot, and if you have it you get to watch those who are willing to lie, cheat and steal get ahead.

Currently hiring 20 per month for expansion. Attrits announced by DO monthly in pilot newsletter. Turning out to be a solid place to work

Cmrcrj700pilot 08-05-2014 07:57 PM

5k signing bonus, no commitment letter also!

By solid place to work you mean NO min-day pay, NO cancellation pay?, NO duty/trip rigs?

block30 08-06-2014 04:46 AM

Boy, the recruiters are out in force. So everyone's got growth these days? P.S. Post a link to this supposed expansion. Otherwise all you are doing is rumor mongering.

RgrMurdock 08-06-2014 05:36 AM

Yeah I'm curious about the expansion statement. If anything I hear the delta flying may be in peril. The fact that Hulas is shelling out the 5 grand means he's getting desperate. He doesn't let go of money easily.

Pantera 08-06-2014 09:12 AM

We are below reserve staffing levels (captains)and they are all in red even some negative numbers which means no swapping trips no drops or any changes to the schedule. Even if you are trying to trade for a higher credit trip it will get DENIED!!!

Meanwhile the upgrade class of 2 next month should keep me a line holder.

G7 isn't horrible but forget about having a life here at all!

ALTBUS 08-06-2014 07:32 PM

3 captain awards, 1 bypassed. Expecting 12 total upgrades for the next two months after September. Current seniority is around 2 years on property.

Delta flying will never go away because they need Gojet and Endeavor to try and force a reset of everyone else to Gojet/Endeavor rates. Doubt they will get any more flying based on their performance, however.

Correct. I hope we adjust thst number upward.

As for hiring for growth, I'm not sure I believe that rumor. We have a TON of people leaving for UPS, Delta, Jetblue, Spirit etc. I believe the hiring is to replace the attrition. That said, I know for a fact that we are tiring our hardest to get new flying. G7 works best when we have a very quick upgrade. People are happier, Manegment can fill classes easier etc.

Not saying that it won't happen, just not sure how quickly it will happen.

ALTBUS 08-07-2014 12:44 PM

Tbucket what a tool, get a life...go run, or play in the park, or drink beer, or do anything fun other than hijacking Gojet threads. Seriously I can't believe you haven't been banned.

ALTBUS 08-07-2014 12:53 PM

It's hard to predict anything at G7 like it has been the past two years. Most attrition has been on the FO side until recently, hopefully with the new base we will see some sort of growth at some point. Also with the new base there's going to be some movement within bases, there's an unofficial combined list of about 20 cap's and fo's that are looking to move West. We'll start doing a little bit of West coast flight towards the end of the year. As far as performance goes I personally believe it is correlated to the group's morale and current contract negotiations. It's basic business, treat your employees good and their performance will go up....hopefully we'll have something TA'd in the near future.

Now that's really funny. Like Gojet has ever given a rat's rear end about employee morale. You need to study up on Gojet history 101.

I've read that that specific breed has the largest, eh...never mind.

My point is that you could possibly be correct.

Sweet gif. Your creativity is radical.

Waitingformins 08-08-2014 03:56 AM

They must be getting in a bind airline apps sent me a GOjet blast claiming they are offering a 5K bonus to new hires, and I never put an app in with them. They also didn't list an ATP written requirement.

Never is a long time. The rate reset is supposed to happen next year. I agree that GoJets will keep the flying til the reset at the very least. After that who knows.

Who is not in a bind? Envoy? PSA? CommuteAir? ExpressJet? Republic? Are you serious? ExpressJet is contracting by losing aircraft because they cannot hire pilots.

Cmrcrj700pilot 08-08-2014 06:03 AM

Last GOJET Class

GoJets new hire class which started on Monday was short by 1.

Beech90 08-08-2014 06:31 AM

How are the trips at Gojet? Good overnights?

Decent overnights. Lots of Long LGA overnights in a great hotel. (Hint: it's not the holiday inn)

Also with the Denver base, we are getting west coast overnights.

So, their just giving money away because they need tax deductions. Express is not contracting because of pilot staffing

TSA and Compass aren't in a bind. But then we have cancellation pay, and a decent contract....

Better not let Hulas find out about that....

TBucket you rock....LOL..

Reminds me of the Gojet newhire that oozed his way over to the TSA paper tiger room while we were in there in training. Was all cocky about his quick upgrade and wondering why we would go to TSA instead of Gojet. I looked right back at him and said "cancellation pay". The confused look was priceless as he said what's that?

Fast forward to last February when I ran into the same guy at ORD, was crying because he only got paid guarantee for January due to 117 cancellations and he was upset because upgrade was taking too long. I really felt for him and told him I "only" got paid for 120 hours of credit due to cancellation pay and the year and a half upgrade at TSA was taking soooo long....

Bet he knows what cancellation pay is now....

Sounds like it! Sounds like he was the kind of tool that would repeat telling a story on an aviation forum. He sounds like the kind of tool that gets righteous about how awesome his regional is compared to other regionals, right? Kind of like bragging about which turd stinks less. Kewl story bro!

Flyingkat is male?

I thought for sure it was a female pilot named Kathy.

Huh...
