Welcome to the world of aviation, and you are experiencing what has been predicted by many since regionals did the same undercutting of the majors. Welcome to the party.

Some people just cannot distinguish what is right and wrong. What ever the worst contract may or may not be everyone should be given a chance to vote WITHOUT intimidation. Voice your opinion if you don't like it or the outcome but voter intimidation should have gone away back in the early 1900's. How do you even consider yourself professional doing stupid crap like this. I'm sure there are other opportunities you can try with the drug cartels or mafia.

Maybe you should have held your ground, and not relaxed scope, and you wouldn't have had to worry about regionals undercutting yourselves. To play devils advocate, yes, regional pilots could just refuse to work for regionals that fly 50+ seat aircraft for less than majors. However, I think its a little more realistic for grown men to realize what scope relaxation would do as opposed to young, naive, kids with debt, trying to start their careers.

I wouldn't call it the same. How many 19-50 seat aircraft have flown at mainline carriers before the regionals undercut your flying? I think we both know the answer to that, so I can only assume you mean regionals undercutting your 50+ seat flying. i.e. large RJs. If this is the case, I agree . . . you were undercut. I would also say the cause of this undercutting was the relaxation of your scope. Eagle did not relax any scope or trade any of their flying. They held their ground, and PSA destroyed the message Eagle had sent by not following their example. PSA was not in bankruptcy. They weren't in "dire" straights, Their company was making money. There was no sword to fall on.

I'm not worried about anything. Fact is that there is downward pressure on regional contracts. Some of the very guys that are so angry on here were so adamant when they were the ones doing the replacing, and now they are being replaced. I have not been replaced. In fact, flying is coming back to mainline. Just found it a bit ironic.

Tell ya what. Since you think you can do a better job, then volunteer to be a mod. And I emphasize the word volunteer, because mods don't get paid. This forum is so chalked full of immature keyboard warriors, it's almost impossible to keep up. It's hard to believe that some people here consider themselves professionals.
