What will the AE MEC Board do Jan 2, 2014
#41
What is going to a pilot vote? Not the proposal the company made unless it was agreed to late last night. We are going to counter the proposal and today they are working on such, so I am not sure what you are going to vote on because there is no TA, the eagle pilots are just responding to management proposal. And no I don't know what's in it as it is likely being held in executive session and it's currently being built.

I am not there today, most of yesterday was held open. The company explanation of their proposal was held in executive session as the company didn't want numbers in the open and the MEC wants numbers.

You can thank brown streak for that. They stole 30 airplanes from your original fleet plan. Now AE is only left with 60 rj's vs 90... wow
On the bright side I've heard the deal being negotiated now is light years better and improved over that TRASH brown streak accepted.
Heard management has their eye on Mesa after a no vote at L-AE.

Management said that they are not afraid to make a deal with Mesa and that if we decide to not negotiate with them they are willing to place our CRJs on other CRJ operators. They also brought the example that PDT is an unique circumstance that their airplanes are being phased out and they are "willing to play". Also AWAC has a contract expiring and they are full of 50 seaters.
I am sure that if we say no they will look at other options to prove their points and see if someone else bites as everyone is scared of being "Comaried".

unless parker owns mesa, he is going to have to give hard guaranteed numbers of profits to the mesa board of directors because they are the ones going to have to go after the pilots, not parker. so I seriously doubt it.

I am not sure if you are referring to my post, but at no point did I mention anything about parker going after the Pilots at another airline. Don't spin it, and Fyi, AAG owns 20% of MAG.

actually to nanceystyles last sentence. Although US Airways may have 20% of mesa stock and that carries a big stick my statement is valid, he will have to guarantee profits for the mesa board to go after there pilots for concessions.
personally i dont see this happen. parker is just going after owned carriers. he owns there management outright.

Our cost structure is among the lowest already - hence the continued, sometimes called for, litany of vitriol railed against us on these boards.
I support Eagle's right to work for a wage commensurate with the level of professional responsibility they carry. I wish I worked for a livable wage. We're in section 6 now. I don't expect a game changing contract, but I'm hoping for a measly trip/duty rig for crying out loud!
