Assuming the American E-jets are to be announced this year, will that inhibit recruiting & upgrades at PSA? It would seem PSA is currently also benefiting from uncertainty at other carriers which won’t be there forever.
Yup, once AAG announce who will get those EJets PSA hiring will slow. Then they will park the 200s once the 900s come online.

New Hires at PSA might bail for the regional that will get those EJets. Jr pilots jumps like rabbits for whenever they think it will be the next fast upgrade place.

Thanks!

At PSA, wholly owned by American, nothing!! They have FULL classes starting every two weeks. I have several friends who have been hired and they are seeing steady movement. Good luck!
Sorry, but PSA is canceling vacations, denying drop requests, junior manning like crazy, and not allowing pilots to use the flow agreement to go to your precious AA owner.

Your recruiting attempt is lame.

"Everyone", or did you mean few and or no one?

I was talking about our contract last year.

Not our most recent TA.

We get a small raise per "large RJ" up to 89 acft. It would amount to around 1.5% with the full amount. We also get a flat 1% per year.

If the 200s are parked we see another 1ish% due to an increase in our blended rate.

That would put a 4yr capped FO at around ~41.50 for 2015 and ~41.90 for 2016.

Our old 7 year rate was 42.

This, of course, doesn't help us 10 years from now when our money is worth significantly less. Just getting the facts out there. A turd painted like a flower is still a turd etc, etc.

I always wondered why the company even bothered doing this. All they did was move the top out FO pay from year 7 to year 4 and called it a cap. Obviously it's better for FOs. Now captain caps are different.

Because it's a long term contract and now they don't have to increase pay for cost of living even though majors have adjustment for inflation built into the regional contracts. Every year PSA management will make more money from the majors while the pilots make the same (or less if you factor in inflation).

Regionals love long term contracts.
