Regionals hiring at 250tt?

Well keep this in mind: most places have minimum time requirements to upgrade (in addition to basic ATP mins). Pinnacle for example (who is known to hire VERY low time pilots) requires 3000TT to upgrade. That means if you get hired with 500TT it will be 2.5 years MINIMUM before you can upgrade even if upgrades are running at 6 mos. So I ask again, what is your big damn hurry? The journey, not the destination, is the worthier part.
The seniority number is part of the hurry, especially with so much hiring and not being at the bottom of the barrel for too long.

My class at TSA lost 5 out of 20 at the oral...all low time. However this isn't always true, as we had guys with 500 pass both the oral and checkride on try one, and guys with 1500 and some jet time fail their oral once then bust their checkride. Just interesting to me.

No can of worms. I flight instructed before I got hired, and was one of the lowest time guys at my job with about 650/75 when I was hired. To me, it made sense to get in while they're hiring, get the seniority number and move up. I know I won't be upgrading for at least 2.5-3 years (TSA requries 3200 for the 145), but thats ok. I'll be a senior FO for a while, then upgrade to captain when I have the experience, and hopefully won't have to sit reserve...

if so, you may be on reserve for a few months. i'm 5th of the 12 that came up, and i'll be one of the guys grabbing the last few lines

Well golly thats good news...
Are you in RIC? And if so, do you know how many from your class in RIC are trying to get back to STL? I don't really care if I'm on reserve, I just want to be sitting in my condo here in STL. Just curious.

10 FO's are being upgraded to captain from richmond.
i know about 4 or 5 guys who are trying to go back to stl from my class.
So if that all pans out next month, everyone moves up 10 slots, and you have 5 less people to worry about, making it about 17 slots for you to move up in seniority list.
You'll prolly get a reserve line, or a build up line. When are you projected to finish IOE btw?

i finished IOE last month on the 21st, and i didn't get a chance to bid, so they gave me all reserve, and people lower on the seniority list than me got reserve lines with all of the weekends off, and i get wed-fri off

Seems fair...
