At least thats what happen when I went...Good luck.
They don't surprise you with any other requirements do they? Like needing to bring copies of diplomas or transcripts?

Yes, that is the current practice. However, initial CA qualification on an airplane you have never flown would make for a pretty busy training event...if that's what you want to do, just ask to get hired into the EMB, fly as FO for a month or two, then upgrade.

If you are that excited to fly and pursue it as a long term career, you need to get used to doing "extra work". If you are not the type of person who is willing to put forth extra effort, you may be unhappy in the future. What I mean by that is once you get your regional time in and it is time to apply to the good airlines hiring where you want to hang your hat, you will find you are competing against A LOT of pilots willing to do whatever it takes to get those jobs. If you sit there and think "oh I don't know if going to SWA, FedEx, etc is worth the extra effort as opposed to Airline X", that's not the attitude to have IMHO. In any case, good luck.

FAT, SLC, DEN I think. But there is so much movement you could probably get in anywhere within a month or two. EMB upgrade is running a few months, and I heard they have actually put some EMB new-hires into CA training immediately.

That's not true. There are still people with bids in for upgrade that already work at Skywest.

Correct me if I am wrong but 80+40=120 and where does Comair fall into this equation. I hope Comair isn't squeezed out of existence because, this will be bad for the entire industry. Let the race to bottem continue. I like Skywest but they seem to be leaning toward the Mesa's and chatakeaway's of the industry. The entire industry needs a nationwide pilot strike to show our arogant managers we mean business.

Hmmm. I looked it up, there are some VERY junior EMB CA's on the list, maybe they are management pilots?

The junior-most EMB CA who clearly was awarded CA in normal sequence was hired in March.
