"Slightly above"? 4 years ago when I was a baby(last seniority # in my class), I was 696 on the list... Same amount of jets last time I checked and the company wants to have over 1,000 pilots.

Don't need to have a link to a news story or whatever you require. As said here ad nauseum, the extension is AWAC's to cash-in, part of the terms of the loan they gave US Airways in 2008. The company has been telling classes that they are currently working with American on how they will utilize said extension.

Whatever happens... If it's an extension with AAG or a new Contract with Delta I wish AWAC the best. Great Pilot group and I have more then a hand full of friends over there.

+1. It's refreshing to see flying awarded to one of those "expensive" regionals. Lots of friends at AWAC and this couldn't go to a better group of people. They certainly deserve it.

While it's refreshing it's not what Delta prefers who else could really fly these things? I expect to see a trickle of planes go to SKW in MSP and LASA in DTW. Then the large reminder probably go to AWAC when the contract they currently has ends. There really wouldn't be too much of a service interruption if it happens like that. Any who that's just my .02 on the matter.

It does make the most sense to simply transfer these airplanes to SKYW or L-ASA, however, Delta has proven to be very unpredictable with their treatment of the Connection providers in recent years, therefore, while I would be surprised if AWAC became a DCI carrier, it wouldn't be totally groundbreaking news considering how Delta has been handling the DCI flying lately. If AWAC does in fact become a DCI carrier, I would applaud as AWAC did not take a concessionary contract to gain such flying and it would tamper down any uncertainty that might exist right now.

Sure hope this doesn't end up being another Midwest-esque letdown...

I was specifically hired for that particular let down! Spent my first year at an overstaffed AWAC and only flew 150 hours the entire year!

Hopefully what we are seeing is a genuine "market correction" in our favor. As said in a previous post, it may the concessions that lead to the demise of Pinnacle rather than a future.

If an AWAC future is concerned I have no doubt that we will attract FO's from most of the bottom feeders out there. It should be easy to stay properly staffed.

The CEO of endeavor said our few remaining 200's that we can't staff are going to a DCI carrier. So this rumor maybe not be true...but if AWAC gets some delta flying, good for them!
