I am no one important, but my sources have been right all along and no reason to doubt them. The company kept this United stuff pretty secret for a while. Time will tell if I am just spreading rumor or not.

I'm in the same boat. Was starting to doubt the sources for awhile, but everything has happened step by step from what they said would happen so far.

Hey quick question did your source actually say you all would be getting XRs? I am curious because I was told that the XRs are actually our profitable aircraft and they and that we ( XJT) would not be losing them any time soon. Now I could see you all getting some more of the unprofitable aircraft that we are parking. We are parking around 100 of them. I think it would all be contingent on how well you all can staff the ones you are getting. Right now I figure you all are looking at hiring around 360 to 400 pilots if all the aircraft coming our add planes and not replace any. That means you would double in size. That is a lot of guys to get through training in a year, but it is possible. Plus that is without attrition which I think you guys are losing guys as well.

Ok, I have been told the following:

-yes we are getting the XRs, all of them eventually
-we have already inked something with American and includes another domicile
-a lot of the hush hush is by request of the code share partners.

This could be all rumor. It could never happen. It does make sense since we are hiring way more pilots than for just 18 more airplanes.

Why would your source violate an NDA? Seems way too far fetched to me.
