Which regional has the best contract?

Wow. I used to own my own construction company. 100 hour weeks happened all the time. Who said anything about sitting on reserve? I'll gladly fly my 70 to 80 hours a month and take my 13 to 15 days off and enjoy time with my family. Talk to me next year and we'll see if you have the same opinion. You clearly don't have enough life experience to be offering me advice.

[QUOTE=Nevets;1790870]I think that the only regional with language for commuters is Commutair. They get around 4 hotel nights a month for commuting in the day before, or something like that.
As for best contracts, Air Wisconsin, Horizon, and XJT are above average. I'll post particulars on XJT's and TSA's contract since I'm in the middle of this conversation on the TSA thread.
Here is a document about a year old that compares some of the language in all the regional's contract.

Do you know anything about Republic Airways contract? I can't seem to find it. Thanks

It's garbage. No cancellation pay. That's all you need to know about it.

It's the worst in the industry. Stay away. It contains so many loopholes, so much ambiguous language and so few pilot-friendly provisions that the only way to fix it would be to throw the whole damned thing out and start over from scratch.
IBT national tried to sell the pilots a TA with only modest improvements to a few areas with a ton of new ambiguous language....and that's one of the main reasons it was voted down.
The devil is truly in the details at Republic....and they take every opportunity that they can to screw the pilots over.

Is it worse than GoJet? I heard GoJEt is getting a new contract as well, trying to include cancellation pay. with a quicker upgrade time, shorter reserve, seems like they are heading toward the right direction?

So here is an interesting theory....
Eastern Airlines is being revived currently as a charter airline, and hopes to fly 121 scheduled routes in a year or two. They are flying large metal (as compared to RJ's).
At the same time, there are several regionals that are being downsized and will probably close their doors. The theory is, companies like the new Eastern Airlines and Allegiant will be bought by the legacy airlines and provide "regional" service in 737's and similar large airplanes. If several of the regionals close tomorrow, someone will need to pick up the flying.

Whose theory is that? Never heard it before. Scope prevents the majors from buying a non-RJ flying airline and keeping them separate. They are much more likely to shift the flying around to one of the other 10 different regionals. If one closes down. Just announce expansion and upgrades at another. The bonus is that everyone has to start over at year one pay. The downside is not everyone will start over.
