Remember, folks - the TSA agents may not be the smartest group on the planet, but they're still in charge of the security checkpoints.

When I threw bags for the airlines I remember a passenger getting the runaround for having placed a tin foil covered piece of cardboard in the bottom of his rollerboard with the words "****** the TSA!" cut out of the tin foil.... the gentleman ultimately was detained and missed his flight because of their lack of humor, character, respect for the traveling public we made it a point to upgrade this guy to first on the next flight out and up until the day I left that unmentioned airline we stuck it to those morons everyday.
Sidenote: IF you were to do the same and were subsequently detained you have a profitable law suit.... we saw the same passenger come back through our city about a month later with his lawsuit printed in the paper. Way to go freedom of speech.

The rules have been pretty clearly stated. So who is the idiot, the guy who enforces the rules to keep his job, or the guy who knowingly breaks the rules and then complains about the consequences.
Can you imagine what the media would say if TSA began using "common sense?" You should be happy that they are rigid about enforcement. Like previously stated they aren't the smartest folks out there and I wouldn't like them taking liberties with security regulations
