Most likely for the better. I suspect reserve times and upgrade times will begin dropping rapidly over the next 12 months. (this is for the ERJ side)

You might want to look at the T&Cs for the JetBlue gateway program.

Not too bad for a new hire; horrible for an experienced 121 FO.

Not unless they went to an ABBI school. There are dozens of those and many pilots have graduated from them.

I went to one of those ABBI schools. I thought it would be smart to get a degree in something other than aviation just in case....haha man I can't win in this industry.

If they fit the profile, but it does little to stem the huge loss of FO's from L-XJT

OR...say you didn't want to diversify your academic background and only wanted to study how flying machines escape gravity...but you didn't do flight training at the school as well.

Nope. Don't qualify. The AABI circle-jerk is hilarious in this case.

Once again it's not about the best overall candidate who could be a spectacular brand ambassador - it's about giving the impression that a Gateway Program (or flow-like process) can placate one organization's present workgroup.
