How many people DON'T show up to class? I heard they expect about 30% of the job offers to be no-shows in class. Is this true?

Correct me if I'm wrong but of the previous Endeavor class:

1/5th military
2/5th part 135 and part 91
1/5th previous 121
And 5 CFIs

Youngest is early 20s, oldest was mid 50s.

Skywest February CRJ class had 56, and E175 classes not sure how many. ~60+ added to the seniority list every month for the past year.

What pilot shortage? Even Mesa has had huge classes this year.

I wonder how many are just a reshuffling of the deck. Who's shrinking?

I think that's the better question. I'd be interested to see whose seniority list is growing/stagnant/shrinking with the massive attrition that's going on.

Endeavor numbers

April 2015: 1518
April 2016: 1608

Less than 100 net gain and I think we've been doing a decent job of hiring.

Any other regionals care to chime in?

Skywest has grown by almost 600 since I was hired a little less than 2 years ago. List creeps a little bigger every month. Almost at 3900 now.

Envoy has averaged about 19 per month this year. 28 for the month of April.

In the same time we frame lost about 50 pilots per month. We lost 30 to flow, 10 CA, 10 FOs each month.

I don't know the makeup of the classes, just bringing info from this week's seniority list update.

Mesa

1/7: 32
1/21: 12

2/4: 22
2/18: 9

3/3: 32
3/17: 12

If your airline's interview process allows anyone with a heartbeat through the door, and then has 20 or 40 percent wash out, it's quite misleading.
Endeavor has a 15% washout rate for new hires currently according to folks in the training department.
