But summer months, wear long sleeves. The training center has been running cool. I have clas rooms down to 64 or so in the morning, and warms to about 74 with class body heat.

My perspectives only for now.

Don’t be the guy who wears jeans! You’re a professional airline pilot. You will stand out at the training center if you wear jeans (and not in a good way). Most guys wear khakis or dark pants with a button down or polo and dress shoes.

This^^^

At Republic I worked in the GFS/EFPT and the sim, and I can promise you things will not go well if the chief instructor or management catches you in jeans. Training is already stressful enough, so don’t induce stress over stupid stuff. The 10-2am spot isn’t always safe either, because the chief instructor roams.

All of the school house instructors tell you jeans are ok if they're nice...i.e. no rips or holes

Why does everyone want to wear jeans so bad? My goodness just get some dress pants that are more comfortable or something

Counterargument: Jeans have become commonplace in business casual environments now and the people so adamantly against them are the ones refusing to change with the times.

And I say this as someone who happily wore slacks during all of training.

unbelievable. People just got hired by an airline, are on their way to most probably an incredibly profitable and rewarding career doing their dream job and they argue and debate about..... wearing jeans in training!?!?! is this a South Park joke or some 5th dimension I haven't traveled to yet?

Wear Chinos, they're as comfortable as jeans but look more dressy. Problem solved.
