Currently all our aircraft are "accounted for." Meaning we, at least theoretically, have flying to cover all our aircraft, once the NE opens back up. That's the major caveat. In the interim, things may shrink some until that occurs, but we're the only AA carrier in NYC.
It's important to note that, at least on the AA side, we've just received 28 airplanes (22 from our Delta certificate and 6 new ones originally destined for Envoy). This doesn't entirely mesh with losing a base, but as stated above, flying is on contract, not bases. It should be somewhat indicative of our standing with AA, probably more so than a base opening/closing.
At least for now, the flying just appears to be shuffled around.

It now makes sense why every other company has announced recalls for their furloughs in March and April and Republic hasn't said a word about theirs.

Also, I'm pretty sure it's only SkyWest & Endeavor that did it prior to the stimulus bill... not every other company.

PSA stated they were recalling even if the bill didn’t pass and they’re even resuming hiring. Weird stuff is going on
