Well by the time you graduate, it'll have changed but according to the schedule and July's marketing podcast by the union....
Junior pilot according to the August List is a 04/05/22 hire. On reserve in IND this month
First line holder is a 2/2022 hire.
July marketing podcast says 5 mos at Indy to hold a "clean" line.

Also what are the earliest report times for Indy?

Indy is an outstation and as such has butt ass early start times. Like 0500 departures with 0415 shows and all that crap. They also have late evening release times. Outstations at RPA's are a commuter's worst nightmare. Have fun!!

RPA is still losing CA's at a record rate and have no luck replacing them, They even have CAs leaving for other Regionals!! That's how bad the attrition is. As long as that as happening FOs will continue to be piled up at the bottom because they have no CAs to fly with them. Expect record reserve times, spanning more than a year in some places. I saw on the RPA Facebook page one base had something like 70% of all FOs on reserve with only 30% holding a line for Sep.

Thats very shortsighted. Wait months for a WO who will pay $90/hr or go with someone that will get you in fast and finished fast? Those months spent waiting would put you behind everyone else that’s trying to move on.

It can be a crap shoot anyway you look at it though.
side note, I got a personal e-mail from PSA recruiter this week offering me an interview as a DEC for over $200,000 the first year (including bonuses). The recruiters have to be going through public records looking at individuals at this point. I've never applied there.
Every regional is hurting for Capts.

This mindset could cost you generational wealth. It could be the difference between avoiding a furlough at a legacy, or missing the hiring wave at the majors, and a number of other things. The only instance where your comment would make sense is if you’ve relegated yourself to “the flow” and don’t care how long it takes.
But hey, enjoy that $90/hr while you sit and do nothing while all your friends are building a resume and getting on seniority lists that matter.

To be clear, you’d rather be in training, making $90/hr than be on reserve? If so, it is among the silliest, nonsensical posts I’ve ever read on here, and I’ve read a lot of posts from that CFIsoontobeFO kid.

What these youngins don’t understand is Sept & Oct are historically months the traveling public doesn’t fly. So the airlines normally reduce flying in these two months so pilots don’t time out at 1000 hrs (granted it is a rolling 12 months). Which in turn makes a lot more folks sit reserve. But yes those numbers sound about right. Lots of junior folks hold Sept/Oct vacations to, who are normally on reserve, therefore making the company build more reserve lines. If Nov & Dec lines are that horrible, then it is time to bail and jump ship!
