They would fight for 10 hours 121 to upgrade

Is this a serious post?
The difference between a CR9, a 737, and an A350 is the amount of revenue generated per flight hour. You may not realize this, but the 350 generates a lot more than the others. The CR9 is the least. That's why pilots are paid by the type and number of seats in the aircraft. Those pilots are generating more revenue, so they get a bigger cut.

Trop , I was just trying to dive into it a little further and you can call me crazy if you want 😂😂. The thing about revenue is that when all the passengers buy their tickets ,wether for a flight a day from now or 6 months from now , all that money is already in the bank at Wells Fargo. The employees and aircraft are not generating any money . The entire operation costs Delta money that is already in the bank . How much of that money Delta gets to keep and profit from the operation depends on how cheaply they can operate everything on a daily bases. As pilots we actually get paid by the size and complexity of the aircraft . Obviously it costs much more to operate a 737 than a CRJ 900 . Yes it’s published that the pay rates are based on seats but all we are doing on each aircraft is flying people from A to B that already gave their money to Delta . Each flight that is operated is costing Delta money . We aren’t generating anything . Obviously as pilots the bigger the plane ,the more slice of the pie you get paid . Interestingly enough the Flight Attendants get paid a flat fee per hour and do not get paid more for working a bigger plane . If a Flight Attendant is making 50 bucks an hour , they get paid that rate no matter what plane they work. I know they get international override pay , but it’s the same hourly rate otherwise . Ramp crews get paid the same no matter if they are working a 350 or a CRJ 900. Why do pilots get paid more for a bigger plane ? Because we have enough leverage to negotiate that and as far as flying a bigger , more complex aircraft there is more to it obviously and one should be paid more . But why isn’t a FA paid 30 bucks an hour more to work a 757 versus working a 717 or CRJ 900? They used to feed us this Bull that they couldn’t afford to pay a “mainline” pay rate to pilots on the 70 to 76 seaters😂. Of course we are seeing that was false and a lie and airlines are making huge profits while paying 60 percent higher pay rates on RJ’s. They don’t charge passengers less money for a ticket because one or more of their flight segments are on an RJ .
What in your mind is mainline pay for a 70-76 seat RJ?

Elizabeth, look up the history of Chautauqua Airlines and see when they started flying RJ’s. Mainline airlines had existed and made money quite awhile before the existence of regional jets. Please don’t act like the regional jet is the savior of the industry because many mainline careers were put on hold and ruined because of the men who ran these circus side shows. I hope for all regional pilots that the RJ and especially the republic disgrace disappears and everyone can move on with better pay, 401k contributions and career advancement. Best of luck to you
