Republic - IBT Nat'l takes over Negotiations
So, National IBT has taken over negotiations without even notifying the Local 357 EBoard.
I loved hearing the attempted “spin” on the conference call when Wilder was trying to explain WHY this occurred. In the background you could hear Muffin whispering, “jumpstart”, but Wilder ignored him and pressed on with his own explanation.
I could have sworn that IBT’s biggest selling point on the difference between IBT and ALPA was, IBT is a “bottom up” union, while ALPA is a “top down” union.
National arranging meetings to set dates for meetings with a “Private Mediator” and negotiating on our behalf doesn’t seem like a “bottom up” type of philosophy as previously advertised.
Any truth to the rumor that National is completely fed up with the Local?

If they have then they are full of it. Have you read the unions proposal at all... Of course not.. Too quick to jump on here and be yourself. I don't want to call you what you are because I don't want to get banned. The reason you haven't gotten banned yet is because the moderators must be frontier
But back to the original point, what the 357 is asking for is not unreasonable at all. It's all available online. If they have taken over its because they don't want the expense of our negotiations or they see how bought and paid for the nmb is. They must think the whole thing is futile.
Our flight attendants vote was a joke. Many many senior flight attendants never got ballots. You could read through the envelope what someone's voted. What they did should put someone in jail.
I hope teamsters isn't trying to do the same thing to us.
Did you know your a real piece of work?

There is no truth to that.

Based on this letter and the exclusion of the 357 Negotiating Committee, is the phrase, “My NC speaks for me.” still our mantra or even valid?
Republic Airways, IBT to resume negotiations on Nov. 18

The following is the letter from Republic Airways Executive Vice President and COO Wayne Heller to IBT Airline Division Director David Bourne confirming the dates of resumed contract negotiations:
November 1, 2013
Captain David Bourne, Director
International Brotherhood of Teamsters
Airline Division
25 Louisiana Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20001
Dear Captain Bourne:
This will confirm our agreement to meet for resumption of negotiations on November18-20, at the Embassy Suites North in Indianapolis, IN, with the assistance of private mediator Margaret Leibowitz.
We understand that the Union team will be headed by Captain Rick Dubinsky. We would appreciate being advised when the remaining team members have been selected.
We welcome this renewed effort, and are hopeful that we will be able to arrive expeditiously at a mutually acceptable agreement.
Sincerely,
Wayne Heller

I noticed a LOT of union time for November on one of the NC member's schedules and wondered what was happening well before the company made the announcement and tried to make it sound as if the local was "blindsided" by this.
Clearly they were not....and your constant bombardment of ludicrous assertions (which have, I may remind you, been proven to be false many times in the past) are not changing anyone's mind. In fact, I would equate the credibility of your posts to that of the emails you might find in your spam filter.
Shouldn't you be working on improving your "radio voice" for when you guys start pitching pizza delivery companies in Trenton over the PA as part of your new ULCC business model?
In fact, in the spirit of "brotherhood," I'd like to help you with that so your commission check can help make up that equity stake that everyone else in the world who has ever dealt with Bedford automatically knew that you would never see. Just remember; Pronunciation, annunciation, inflection and pitch. Speak as if the sound is coming from your diaphragm and never forget that people can "hear" your smile.
Also, check out the movie "Stroker Ace." Flying whilst wearing a chicken outfit would really move some merch! It'd also be appropriate for a few of you guys in so many ways....you, in particular.
Good luck.....you guys need it a hell of a lot more than us.

Not that I'm a big fan of national union people, but do you understand the difference between the national team and the local or are you that dense? I'm sure you are one of the pilots that trashed the Midwest 8......you just seem like that type!!
