I can't believe people actually go to republic.. i understand people have different reasons.. but they really treat their pilot group the worse. I would never double occupancy a hotel for training or stay in a super 8... gross. Demand to be treated like a professional.

I joined in June 2016. Always single occupancy hotels. I love EWR, 5 mins or 2.3 miles away. Can not complain at all, actually if you do your job and don't complain, RAH is is fine. Now, if you like to find cracks in the system and then get caught...don't complain. They treat everyone professionally, they expect for you to do your job, system is not perfect- we have humans as leadership.

+1 on all of that. Never shared a room. I enjoy the job a lot. Happy to have chosen RAH.

I am glad you are happy. The problem is people are selling themselves short with places like RAH. You could have gone to Commutair and been in EWR also and had a United interview. There is no reason to be at RAH unless you live in PIT, CMH, IND or MCI. I would say MIA but I hear it is very senior. Everywhere else there are better options. You new guys were not there in the bad times when I got there in 07. They will show their true colors.

You can tell us your experience, but you don't have to crap on everyone for going to RAH. Is there better? Maybe. But as long as you stand up for yourself at an airplane and be a better man and a better pilot, you're going to end up at a legacy. Nobody wants to stay at a regional forever. You have to endure the suck before you can live in luxury and i feel like most regional pilots understand that and try to make the best out of every day

Was that why we voted the first TA down by such a wide margin? Don't get me wrong, there are still some of these types you speak of around, but it's no where near 90%. By the time the first TA rolled around, we were a pretty ****ed off group. You said you came in 07- probably chasing a quick upgrade like everyone else at that time before the music stopped. If we want to make broad generalizing statements about people, then here we go: In my observation of this industry over the last few years, it's the guys looking for the low hanging fruit and the "easiest path" to the majors that tend to be spineless.

You do realize that every single thread in this regional forum has guys saying the exact same thing as you, in one way, shape, or form? Every company has had bad times, treated their folks like they are less than human, and paid horrible wages with bad schedules. Every. Single. One.

Things change, there are ups and downs. I had friends at ComAir who were happy there. ComWho? Northwest what? RAH, from folks I know who work there, is a pretty decent place to work. May not be for everyone, but no matter where you go, you can always find something to b***** about, and the grass is always greener "over there". Always. Make the best of it where you are, or leave. But to denigrate an entire airline, when there are many happy people there is just silly. I suspect RAH is going to be a great place to be in the coming year as they exit the BK.

And there you go... I live in Pit...

But I just arrived today and the super8 isn't that bad. Could use an update, but seems to be rather clean from what I can tell.

It's 2017, not 2007. While I'm not trying to defend the company in any way, things do change. I've been hearing this "the company will show their true colors" BS since I've started, but I've had nothing but a great experience. Sorry you had a different experience.
