Republic after the contract

Things are pretty fluid right now at DCA. We shrank the base when AA brought PSA in to do some of the flying. Then we picked up UA pairings and theoretically there is supposed to be Delta pairings at some point. Anyway, to answer your question, for Feb's bid month, it shows the most junior line as an 8/16/16 hire, so he likely spent at most 3.5 months on reserve including IOE.
But.... Feb is a slow month for lines, there will be more lines as we get into the peak travel season. Also, looking at the cover sheet, we have a total of 87 FOs listed, but 22 are still in training. For someone hired Dec/Jan might not see any reserve by the time they finish IOE. For someone hired today.... who know, but probably not too long. Maybe 6 months max? DCA is junior right now.

Hi everyone. I've been reading the last couple of pages of the forum to try and get a feel for Republic. What is the consensus of everyone's feelings toward flying for Republic? I'll be living in the Destin area so I will be commuting. What is the junior base, how long will I be there, and where should I try to get to with that commute? Seems the upgrade time is dropping, not that upgrade is really that much of a concern anymore when it comes to getting to the majors. Also, something that is kind of important to me at the moment, when do you get the bonus and what is the pay like during training? Do you still get paid if you are waiting for weeks on end between training periods? Thanks in advance!

First paycheck at Republic is about $1,500 give or take, depending on your state taxes. This includes a stipend and part of the bonus.
The second paycheck is about $1,000.
There is no minimum monthly guarantee on the first 30 days of employment. Beginning on the second month, you get $40.40 times 75 hours per month for the remainder of training. According to some, you get per diem as well.
The rest of the bonus (the bigger chunk) is paid out at the completion of IOE.

What is the first and second paycheck timeline? Is that monthly so that you paychecks are low during training?

First paycheck came in two weeks after class start date. Second paycheck came in two weeks later, so about $2,500 for the first 30 days.
We're paid bimonthly, including during training.
These numbers are all after tax, in other words, it's what actually will hit your bank account in the first month of training AND assuming you have the typical tax situation with no other major source of income.
