PIT is junior. You could get it quickly if not immediately.

Seems the upgrade time is dropping, not that upgrade is really that much of a concern anymore when it comes to getting to the majors. Also, something that is kind of important to me at the moment, when do you get the bonus and what is the pay like during training? Do you still get paid if you are waiting for weeks on end between training periods? Thanks in advance!
I'll answer your first question. A few pages back there was a general consensus among those at rpa who are on here that it's a good place to work. This was after some clown from another regional claimed no one liked it here. We chimed in differently. I have asked many people out on the line the same question and they mostly agree. There are some unhappy people who lived through the old contract.

Keep looking a few pages back. Many of your questions are answered I think.

All in all, things are looking up at Republic.

Not anymore.

Pit currently is on a 6 month wait. March will have two FO's moving to pit, both are September hires.

June awards which were awarded earlier this month have 3 FO's moving there, two are from October 18 class and one from Nov 29.

Right now, there are 7-10 pilots wanting it that have been hired from December through Jan.

LGA/EWR/DCA/CMH/PHL all have been hired directly into recently. New United 175 deliveries start in April and the base is still not known yet, or at least it has not been announced where they are going, so by early summer, they could be hiring into some other city.

My mistake! Thanks for accurate info.

Skywest, better bases. Unless you like wrong coast or the rust belt. IAH has been floating around this place for a while. Dont believe it until its actually announced. Even then this place loves to open and close bases.

Do they offer an abbreviated interview for those who are current 121? Applied a couple days ago, waiting on the call.

This is a question I've asked myself. I've basically boiled it down to RAH has better pay and benefits, SKW has a solid company culture. What would you prefer? Others can feel free to chime in, that's just my view.

One could argue that the culture at RAH has greatly improved post contract, and might even be better than SKYW in many respects. But unless RAH can move away from its NY-centric basing structure, SKYW would be the choice for anyone living west of PIT.

If you live west of MCI, Skywest is your better option. Commuting across the country is pretty rough when you consider all the extra time away from home just getting to and from work. If you're young and single and can just pack up and move to domicile, then republic might be slightly better as far as first year pay. But realize that republic is absolutely notorious for opening and closing bases with absolute minimum legal notice so you may find yourself commuting even after moving to base initially.
