Those of you that have interviewed recently and used Sheppard to prepare for the ipad ATP portion of the interview, to study did you guys use Sheppard ATP prep ATM or the Airline interview question bank that they offer? Thanks

I used the Airline Interview prep that they offer. No surprises!

Is it normal for there to be a lag between applying and getting a call? I applied 4 days ago and haven't heard anything. Current 121.

Also interestingly, a friend at my company tried applying a couple months ago and they sent him a TBNT email. Retired ATC and current 121. Kinda odd.

I've heard that it has gotten a bit more competitive. I know weird right?

Yea, another pilot (non RAH) I talked to today said RAH is "picky" when it comes to who they hire and isn't that desperate. I would think being current airline would put my friend and me in the "competitive" category.

There have been some weird stories like that and yet, I know of a few questionable candidates in recent classes mixed in with the majority of good candidates... I don't get the logic sometimes.

It took me a few days to hear anything from them when I got hired. Our recruiting department is great but they travel a lot and can be slow at times.

Just to give you guys a heads up who are looking at coming to RAH. I am 10/4/16 new hire. Check ride was on 12/9/16. IOE started on 1/5/17 and finished IOE on 1/28/16. ( 3 trips with 5+ days off in between). I sat reserve for this month and have been getting used a lot in EWR. I now hold a 80 hour line next month with 16 days off. Reserve is not 6+ months here in EWR.

Results may vary but that's good news! Hopefully it's a continuing trend. Welcome to the line.

Pardon the noob question but how does pay work in between the checkride and IOE? If there is a month break as in this case, are you still getting min guarantee?
