Hello all,

I'm interested what you guys think about the E145 side of the business. Is it worth considering going into it? Contract is extended until 2021, but only a handful of aircraft are on property and only one base.

Sign on bonus is $15k

What's the upgrade time and time on reserve like?

Thanks for any help.

Am I missing something? The 145 is undergoing an orderly wind-down and termination of that operation per a high-profile bankruptcy agreement.

That's what I originally thought, but there's still info online about them including this website. I guess I'm totally off the mark here.

Never mind then, thanks!

Of the past 10 captains I flew with, 7 of them are interviewing at and/or leaving for a major. Also, I've been flying a few 175s on the united side that were delivered within the past 6 months.
Go visit the bankruptcy proceedings and read orders by the judge. They are slowly and gradually rejecting leases on the older 170s with certain lessor. GECAS is a tougher bite, but some of those 170s will not come back.

Where would one go to visit the proceedings? My google skills have apparently not been good enough to find anything.

MCI has about 60 CAs and 60 FOs. I was awarded it within 2 months of completing training.

But, keep this in mind, the company just announced the closure of the MCI mx base. While this doesn't necessarily mean the crew base will close, the writing may be on the wall.
