They went missed at least once, possibly twice. Visibility was poor in snow at the time of the accident. I think there was some “get-there-itis,” too.

Unfortunately, the Capt misidentified a smooth snow-field for the runway. This picture is far more telling:

Excuse me, but being at Mesa is not “bad enough.” There are many outstanding pilots at Mesa, like there are at other carriers. Similarly, there are inept and completely unqualified pilots at the mighty Envoy and Skywest.
Stop with the needless Mesa bashing.
