Because a majority of us choose to base our opinions off of emotionally-charged, knee-jerk, reactionary information purported from politically-charged , radically-biased news/media outlets. A freedom of speech that has become a freedom of self-entitlement to voice one's opinion for the sake of voicing an opinion with little regard to fact, accuracy, or brevity.
It's amazing to me that with the volume of information readily available at our fingertips over the World Wide Web, for all intensive purposes, people seem more ignorant and intolerant than ever.

I prefer to think of myself as a political agnostic. I'd actually have to see government ACTUALLY show up and function before I could believe in any one party.

The Chechnya *terrorists* are most often of the Muslim religion and can (and should) be counted among the Islamist extremists.
Chechnya is predominantly Muslim. Most Chechens belong to the Hanafi school of thought of Sunni Islam

Having spent a fair amount of my life living in muslim countries, I have come to understand two things. Extremists are a greater threat to muslim countries and attempts to coerce humans are doomed to end in failure

Lets not forget to make sure we add in the ever PC correct (and always abused) term; "Native" in there.l As in Native Alaskans. Or if you prefer; Native Inuits.

Here's an interesting article on the Eskimo/Inuit terms:
Alaska Native Language Center | Inuit or Eskimo?
