This will turn your stomach. The ride down must have been terrifying.

I had a friend send me that video but then he said it was posted in early June. My guess is that is an AN26 going down. It has a blue bottom as well, the 777 should be gray according to their paint job. It would still suck though no matter what.

What sort of animal traipses through a crash scene with a video camera, then sells the footage? I guess the same sort of animal that pays for the footage. Not much better than the a$$ho!es using the credit cards of the dead, IMO.

Horrid series of events for the victims and their families. Hopefully some justice can be done. But given the players (Ukraine, Russia, separatists, terrorists), I doubt it. Sucks.

My point is that many of us think we are going to sit around the campfire singing Kumbaya and things will be just fine. Everyone needs to take a hard look at reality at least once to get their head aligned properly.

It isn't all unicorns and rainbows. Never has been, never will be. I have seen enough of it first hand and don't want to see any more, but plenty of us have a strange sense of humanity that doesn't take into account the reality of human nature.

Read the history of the last hundred years of man carefully, it is enough to make anyone feel sick.

Happens all the time when a plane goes down in these third world crap holes. I think it was the an American flight that had bad waypoints entered into the FMS and they tried to out climb a mountainside. It didn't quite miss the top of the mountain (spoilers still deployed). Within a day pieces of the plane, luggage items and personal effects thieved off the bodies showed up in a local market for sale.

I'm speechless at what's happened since the crash. The first tragedy was the actual shooting of the plane and the crash. The second tragedy is the indignity and the inhumanity of leaving the dead bodies to decompose!

Pro-Russian rebels gave the first investigating team a hard time and limited their presence to the crash scene. Are you kidding? Where is NATO? Netherlands, England, Germany, and France all lost citizens to this crash. They should all send their special forces along with Ukraine's army to secure the crash scene. Any rebel resisting or staying at the crash scene with a weapon should be shot. Under this protective cover, the recovery team would have the bodies removed and the investigative team recover key pieces of debris.

Instead, we live in the world of in-action. Words, but no action. Meanwhile, bodies are starting to bloat and decompose.

Speaking of things that can't be unseen, I was dumb enough to click on a "very graphic" link. The MAS 17 pictures are just listed as "graphic." The "very graphic" was a picture/video of a Palestinian infant. Where the head is suppose to be, it had a huge hole in it with the insides hanging off the side. I'm never going to click on a "very graphic" link ever again.

You send armed military into that area and you are opening a very large box of worms. I understand everyone is frustrated with what is going on but you can't just march an Army into the middle of a civil war backed by the Russians and expect everything to be all good. Russia has to be the one that backs them off during the investigation. If NATO, the organization essentially created to oppose the Soviet Union, marches on Eastern Ukraine, you risk sparking off World War 3.

Putin would be stupid to send armed forces to fight the people trying to protect and remove bodies and wreckage. He would also be unwise to initiate WWIII.

THEY opened a very large box of worms when they shot down a civilian Boeing 777 with 298 people onboard all murdered. The UN and US are currently the pacifists so they'll just politely ask over and over again. And at some point they'll apologize for asking so much.

Just to be clear,

The yutube clip above is of the AN-30 being shot down NOT MH17.

Here is the translation of the title.

Published on Jun 6, 2014 Under Ukrainian Slavic downed spy plane AN-30. More

Putin unwise? He owns a little less than half of all the nuclear weapons on the planet. He also owns an incredible amount of oil. I don't think he'd be sorry and I also don't think he'd be one starting the war. In his mind (and his ally China), he'd just be defending an invasion from the west. Avoiding an all out global war that could impact the lives of BILLIONS of people is not being a pacifist. Why are we pounding our chests over 300 people who are already dead when the repercussions could end our way of life as we know it. It's being not stupid.

"The West" in the past has always invaded neighboring countries "temporarily" or signed "treaties" with the Russians that they would never attack Russia. Moving troops into Eastern Ukraine to "recover" the wreckage, to them, could be construed as an act of war.

Also, I highly doubt the order to shoot down a civilian airliner came from anyone with any real power within the Russian military. I'm pretty sure when Putin found out it wasn't a Ukrainian cargo plane and an international flight, he lost it. The man isn't dumb. He's cunning and this was not part of the plan.
