The plane was above FL300, I not a military pilot, but isn't that beyond the range of terrorists, and into the government only type SAM weapons?

Near Russia/Ukraine border, 3 days after Ukraine Mil Cargo plane shot down by Russians...

Watching Fox News in the lounge. They have a map up with an arrow pointing at the Ukraine/Poland border, rather than the Russian border. No geography whizzes in that news room, I guess...

Yes. US Today says they were at 330.

Correct. MANPADS have a maximum altitude of around 10,000'.

This was something much much bigger.
