Quote: Does no one want the LAX base? I actually will prefer it, being from Colorado. I'm just not looking forward to commuting there for reserve, so hopefully that won't last long.

I'm looking forward to getting on the line.
This airline has been midwest based since it's beginning, which made most applicants local to the area. There are a few outliers but alot live in either MSP or DTW. Most don't want to commute when they can drive to work. Look at Skywest and ORD for example, a base that is out of the norm compared to their normal base region. It's Jr for them and LAX is the same for CPZ.

Understandable considering it spawned from the Northwest era - but I'm happy to hear they are looking to open West Coast bases, but at the same time I hope it doesn't stir too many guys in the Midwest.
Is there a contractual agreement for new hires at Compass? Meaning, if you get hired, is there a minimum amount of time you have to work there? I've seen a lot of that discussion in other threads

There is a 12 month pro rated $12,000 training contract. Otherwise no.

Thank you sir!
Does anyone know if Compass will count helicopter pic toward the 1500 if I have a MEL-ATP? Looked on their page but couldn't find anything.

Thank you
Quote: In the most recent few vacancies all new hires have been assigned to LAX. However, I've seen many of them have a chance to bid out of LAX to MSP, not as easy to get DTW right now, within a month of two (not even out of training at that point). I imagine it will stay that way until the flows dry up this year.

.
Hi Alaska. Can you check your PM's or do you just prefer not to respond to them??
Check your PM.

If you leave less than a year, do you have to pay anything back?

Yes? $1000 for every month before 12 months?
