Compass updates

303 are eligible...we were approximately a 420 pilot airline (42 airplane x 10 pilots a plane). We currently have 538 on the list. We have a lot of people who are not bidding or not bidding full months because they are still in training (upgrading, new hires, or the folks flowing in March).
I'm going to guess we are going to be a 450 to 460 pilot airline.
People who are not flow eligible are now upgrading...into LAX

Rumor at Compass is Delta wants 131 guys this year. Right now 1-85 have their flow letters (emails) with 86-105 supposedly getting their letters this week or next. So far Delta hasn't been backfilling any classes which is good for the Compass guys.

And on top of that, the first group gets released to Delta training in a week.

The bid packet shows 528 pilots and I counted about 132 something non-bidders in March (the guys with a 1 next to their name in the bid packet who are in training, on leave, or flowing in March)
So 528 - 132 = 396 pilots. Even if you add back the 20 guys flowing in march and 20 guys who are probably flying in February but in upgrade training in March we have around 436 active pilots.

That's because a certain to rename nameless DCI carrier was positive spacing people around on Delta flights for United business purposes. Delta found out and removed the privilege for non essential positive spacing on Delta for the DCI carriers (I.e. Interviewing) last I heard the HR folks were buying people tickets on Southwest to get them to MSP to save money because they have to pay full fare for interview candidates now.

SiShane, here's why I think you should still interview...
Steer Clear of SkyWest, Inc. - DailyFinance
Interesting article found on the Pipe
"Last year, ExpressJet lost $49 million on revenue of $1.47 billion. That represented a setback after the company had managed to narrow ExpressJet's loss to $18 million in 2012."
Sounds more like SkyWest can't afford to KEEP ExpressJet around.
Look, Compass will flow almost 60% of the current pilots. They will lose more to other types of attrition. They have NO 50-seat A/C exposure. So there is unparalled movement and 70-seat A/C security.
Most of all, the pilot group seems happy and positive, much like XJT was when I started there in '06.
Just interview my man...
