Quote: 9E CEO who is also a V.P. of DCI has been saying this for months now.
It actually was printed in an Endeavor company communication just this month (OCC newsletter) as well that 9E would grow to 45% of the DC feed. Up from about 37% now. Time frame given to get there was 1-2 years. I would be very surprised if Compass and GoJet continue to fly for Delta beyond 2019. The writing has been on the wall...

Quote: The 900s are owned by Skywest as the beneficiary of a trust. They are held in the name of the Trustee, Wells Fargo. They are leased to Gojet. What that all means, who knows, we would have to know the terms of the lease.
The CA's are owned by Delta. Hmmm... I wonder how safe they are?
As you said the -900's are all owned by Wells Fargo. Leased airplanes are NEVER lost.
Many of the GJ -700 tail numbers don't show as being owned by GoJet, but owned by AFS (Available For Sale), Investments ## LLC. These are privately held companies. Tough to tell who owns them.

Owning airplanes doesn’t mean much anymore. XJT owned 30 of the 33 700s that Delta axed last year. If you think GoJets owning 7 900s is going to make Delta think twice about ending the relationship then your delusional.

They will have an order for 7 900s or 7 175s done before the announcement is even made.

People and companies can change but you can’t erase your roots.

For the Recruiter:

Why is he company lawyer, a pilot/attorney, who has been only the company attorney for many years I believe, going back to flying?

Could it be that the reason the company lawyer (Trans States Holdings) has gone back to flying is because he does not expect to have his airline/legal job for long? Might he expect to have to get a job with another airline to keep his ties to the industry when TSH is sold or closed? Why is he doing this?

I would think this would be very concerning to any pilot looking for a job at a regional. I think Gojet/TSA/Compass should address this if they want to keep hiring. I have meet many pilots who were in training when their airline shut down and nobody wants that to happen. On the other hand, you get training and an explanation why you left. Training at the next airline will be easier.

"Hire until they fire".

The good news is that in today’s environment the flying is not going away but is being shuffled. A person in training will probably be able to get a job at another regional within weeks if not less.
Yeah, he’s probably working on his currency for some reason. 🙄

When you think about the down side, for a CFI type, no jet experience kind of guy, Gojet may now be the best place to go?

You're a CFI and worried about the transition from 70 knots to 140. You think you might need a few extra sims to get up to speed. Or you have been out of flying for a bit and need to get current and get your skills back. If Gojet/TSA/and/or Compass is going under but hiring then go there, get some sim time and a little line flying. If they go under you are all set to go to Endeavor, Skywest, Envoy, etc. You are up to speed and know the plane.

If the influx of pilots allows them to survive and grow, you can stay and enjoy the ride.

Gojet, the place to be!

Why wouldn't they just go to Skywest and Endeavor in the first place instead of wasting 3 months of their life waiting to get furloughed. Great advice from the guy on the Titantic telling people to get out of the life boat because it's not as crowded on the deck.

Try reading the post. A guy gets 3 months of training and sim flying. Good experience for a CFI trying to improve his skills.
