Don’t forget to mention that if they bring their longevity over then they won’t get a raise until they’ve been at GoJet that long

Example: If a pilot comes from say ExpressJet with 5 years seniority. That pilot will be paid at the 5 year GoJet rate, however that pilot will not receive a raise until they have been at GoJet over 6 years.
Is this true? You only get the longevity and then your pay is frozen?

Skywest and Expessjet give you that but they don't take it away. If this is true it would work like this:

Year Skywest Gojet
1 88 plus profit shearing 94
2 91 plus bonuses 94
3 94 94
4 96 94
5 99 94
6 102 94
7 105 94
8 108 94
9 118 (switch to ERJ) 94
10 121 94

Are these numbers about right?

He knows of what he speaks. While I'm not up to date on whether SWA still uses lance captains, it was definitely a thing.

No, like legitimately, what does that mean? I have no idea what that meant and it was confusing to me.

At Southwest captains do not sit right seat. Once you reach the top 3.5% of first officers in your base you can be become a lance captain. You go to captain upgrade training, but bid as an first officer. The company can use you for captain trips or you can pick up captain trips on days off. You are also limited to how much left seat flying you can do. It is basically a captain qualified first officer.

Default Base insight

Recently received an offer of employment with GoJet and trying to decide on which base I would prefer. Can any current G7 Pilots provide insights as to what the flight schedules are like at the different bases. Which would work best for a commuter?

Depending on where you live, the best bases for commuting are DEN, ORD and DTW. Quite a few people commute to STL and RDU, but being outstations, a lot of the trips begin early and end late.

Welcome to G7!!

I’m interested in working at Go Jet. How long is training from Indoc to IOE? AQP or checkride for initial? How many sims are you given? Thanks for the info.
