Reading this as an outsider is laughable. You get hired as a Captain
"wink, wink". But fly as an FO unless they are so short of captains
that they need you. Do they also make you act as FA's or groomer if needed?
So you screw traditional FO's that want to upgrade but cant now because a street CA took their CA. spot.

Also, GoJet isn’t the only regional that can and will use captains in the right seat. Just 2years ago, captains were picking up FO open time for 300%. It was easy to make over $7k on top just for picking a 4 day trip...

We’ve had close to 30 FOs upgrade over the past three months. If the company is hiring street captains, all eligible FOs that want to upgrade can. And there’s no end in sight for curtailing FO upgrades.

I ran into a pilot a little junior to me today who stated he is about 80/20, I personally am at 90/10, I've heard of 50/50 it really depends on base, seniority, and month. It is also difficult to track down hard numbers.

The 90/10 and 80/20 people are not usual as of right now.
I’ve been here for over a year now and last year I was 80/20 Left vs Right seat.
This year I am 20/80. I fly way more in the right seat this year.
The money is the same though. But if you are looking for PIC time. It can be frustrating.(not that we have TOO big of egos). PM me if you want to talk.

RDU has lower cost of living and in my opinion better lines (more days off with high credit).
ORD has great mountain flying and a nice mix of destinations.

Gojet is better in every way than my last regional except be aware as a street captain my time left vs right seat is 5/95. Yes you get paid as a captain but you don't log the PIC time obviously. Literally the only time I get as a captain is when I fly with a very senior guy who doesn't need the PIC time. Take it for what it's worth.
