Quote: Yup you got it. PIC by the FAR definition not the job application definition. Also it's been changed to 2000 Total 100 PIC in type recently.
Is that 2000 total time or 2000 in type with 100 pic in type?

B318,

I read what Pixelflying said to you about the 2000 TT. I know the HR folks are working right now on updating the XOJET page on APF with all the info interested folks wish to have.

What I’m posting below is at odds with what Pixel (not trying to call you out Pixel…my apologies brother ) but it is what is being officially advertised by XO as the mins.

The info below comes directly from the XO Careers section that states the following about hiring mins:

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 1500 Total Time
  • 500 PIC
  • 500 MEL
  • 150 Instrument
  • 100 Turbine
None of that time is required to be in any aircraft that XO flies. We have had folks apply and get hired who had zero jet time also.

Obviously we have folks who are applying that have well above the mins and I don’t say that to discourage anyone from applying, just the times we live in. If interested, I’d apply as long as one meets the mins.

Hope that helps and good luck!

Does anyone have any details regarding the SWA non-rev privileges at XO? Does that extend to immediate family like other non-rev programs? I just noticed it on the APF profile page for XOJet.

My average is 30-40 per 8-day rotation, so figure about 70’ish per month, give or take.

Last six months:
Feb-31
Mar-87
Apr-51
May-48
Jun-53
Jul-60
I work the 15/13. I had vacation 3 days in February. March had 18 working days as the 15/13 occasionally does as it slides through each month slightly differently. June included 3 days of not flying to do our 6 month sim.
Just one example

I don't see XO listed on SWA pass agreements, which means I doubt you can non rev on us. Someone correct me if I am wrong?

I think it's actually jump-seat privileges where you can only utilize the JS if there is also a seat in the cabin? I've never used it, so I could be completely wrong.

BTW...this would mean that family members are not included.

Lift Vector,

The non-rev pass agreement is for cabin only seats that are available for pilots only to fly on SWA. No family members are allowed to fly as part of the agreement. The agreement is based upon XOJET being one of the three “Destination 225” 135 carriers that SWA partners with to help train future SWA candidates.

XO takes a limited number of graduates from the D225 program each year (we have our first D225 graduate who came on property about 6 weeks ago).

A few folks have non-rev’d on SWA that I know of, it works just like any other pilot that works for a company that has a reciprocal agreement with SWA who wishes to non-rev on SWA except the jump seat is not an option for XO pilots.

Hope that helps.

Is there a way to find out why I didn’t pass the phone screening? The conversation seemed to go really well. I answered all the situational questions using the model ‘Safety then customer service.’ I was really happy with it, but I didn’t get selected to continue. I guess just apply again in six months to show commitment?
