Trust me, I've been on property longer than anyone on this board, I just dont post much. He said he was not on property for the last vote, that led me to believe he was a new hire. A junior reserve Captain would have been on property for the last vote. Or he is legacy ASA and didnt get to vote and he is still ****ed about that.

He's anti-union / cool-aid drinker.

The union gave up any leverage they had when they agreed to back the skywest deal and *hope* for better later.

The company doesn't have to do anything. They can come back and say "lets meet. Ok, no soup for you. Deal is done. "

Not having the 600 this year IS leverage. The company will increase pay because it has to, not because of the union. They are doing the best they can.

If I had seen these emails when I was deciding where to go, it would have been a helpful insight.

It has come to our attention that ExpressJet CEO Subodh Karnik recently told a group of pilots in the EWR crew room that the Letter 2 has not been discussed because the Association has not brought anything to the company. This couldn't be further from the truth, and is Subodh's futile attempt to shift the blame from the real reason: management has been unwilling to negotiate in good faith after your MEC Negotiating Committee submitted numerous requests to meet and provided management negotiators a list of items to discuss. It is sad to think that our CEO either doesn't know or refuses to acknowledge the truth about Letter 2. However, we are working to ensure that our major partner is aware of our pilot group's concerns regarding Letter 2 and the overall health of our operation. Continue to read our MEC Updates if you want the facts about Letter 2 Negotiations. The Deal's Not Done.

What is the association willing to give up in return for its demands?

Why exactly do you think they should give up ANYTHING? SkyWest is where this attitude belongs.

This is not the environment to give anything up.
