Quote: And here I was hoping this thread wouldn’t fall to the sex/race/etc conversation. Can we at least keep this thread on topic of Aviate movement please.
If anyone wants to read about how unfair it is that so-and-so got a class date “because their a minority/woman/etc” followed by the “look at the demographics of every class!” argument, there are hundreds of posts about that in the United to hired 300 pilots post (as well as pretty much every other thread).

As such, here’s to hoping we hear about some more aviate movement between now and Thursday.
Well everyone should move up two or three spots. Two people that I know just accepted and have confirmed class dates at F9 . One more is probably going to accept a dec position at an AA WO to take in all the cash they are throwing away.
From the convo we had , they are absolutely tired and burnt out friom the extreme poor qol at their
“ aviate regional “ , planes breaking down constantly, being extended or jr manned on almost every trip and can’t plan to do anything in your personal life . Not to mention being displaced to a base with a two leg commute , late finishes and early shows , hotels on each end at your own dime.Said they are tired of waiting.
Everyone has to make the best decision for his or her own career , so I can’t knock it , I truly get it.
F9 I could possibly understand, especially if you can live in base and upgrade in under 3 yrs as they say. The lateral move is a questionable, unless you are just so fed up with your current situation that it dosent matter .

It has been a couple weeks since they said they would offer class dates to all Aviate candidates that are currently ready to transition. I believe the guys/gals were told those class dates would be sent to them “in the coming weeks” and it has already been a couple weeks.

These class dates should be coming out soon then. I hope so. It sure would make planning for the upcoming holidays much more doable if they have an idea of when they can expect to be in training.

Actually it’s “which”, not “that”. And yes I know,
I'm being very picky. Just felt the need to correct this, don’t really know why.

You sound like someone who really knows how to pull in the ladies. Also while we’re at it, Armstrong said, “one small step for ‘a’ man,” not “one small step for man.” Changes the whole thing really.

From what I’ve heard, many Aviate pilots have received class dates out through the end of the year and then some in Jan and Feb.
it’s great to finally see some movement with this program.

I'm an Aviate coach and one of my folks has an October class date. Coming over from Air Wisconsin.

I've enjoying mentoring in both military and civilian roles, and figured I might be able to help mold those who will eventually be among our ranks.

For what it's worth, the 5 I'm currently mentoring have fairly extensive aviation backgrounds and seem to be very sharp. Having never flown with them I cannot attest to their stick and rudder, but I have encouraged all of them to explore fun flying outside of work such as glider, taildragger or aerobatic flying - there is no replacement for building that seat-of-the-pants kinesthetic sense short of basic military pilot training.
