I’ll be direct, if you’re not a white male you’d be a fool to NOT have your apps in just because you don’t hold time in the left seat. If you’re not a minority, unfortunately unless you’ve done a prior internship with UAL I’d say you’ll need to prove yourself slightly more. But highly recommend you apply and get your name into the system! You never know!

Lol! Honestly, I was born in Africa, and I was a minority, but I cannot identify as non-white. LOL! Either way, UA has always been my goal airline. I have been told I have a great application, but so do thousands more. I will continue to fight the fight. I commute a ton on UA jumpseats, and I have enjoyed every moment, and have had great conversations with the crews. It's the place I want to be.

And here I was hoping this thread wouldn’t fall to the sex/race/etc conversation. Can we at least keep this thread on topic of Aviate movement please.
If anyone wants to read about how unfair it is that so-and-so got a class date “because their a minority/woman/etc” followed by the “look at the demographics of every class!” argument, there are hundreds of posts about that in the United to hired 300 pilots post (as well as pretty much every other thread).
As such, here’s to hoping we hear about some more aviate movement between now and Thursday.
