Smaller WB category, you'd be surprised. Reserve is often limited and goes relatively senior. A look at the lines for 350B in ATL for NOV reveals that the bottom two pilots got assigned lines, and reserve is dispersed throughout the list.
WB reserve is not a bad gig, as there is a lot less 1,2,3 day trips to ever cover. When on WB reserve and you get your availability down to 4 day blocks you are only really usable maybe day 1 or 2, that's it.
That being said, on the 350 for now, you'll have your pick of maybe 4 or 5 far off destinations to enjoy for the month, many ending on redeye back to ATL. That being said, you'll often have multiple pilots (dozing for dollars) and more days off generally (just may not feel 100% upon recovering from multiple time zones).
As a new hire, I'd take the 7ER while you can, again, you'll have the next 30yrs to enjoy a 350 variant and experience the pleasure of programming an airplane.
